Corte as maçãs bem fininhas (utilizei um fatiador), e disponha as fatias em um refratário lado a lado, de modo que uma não sobreponha a outra. Polvilhe canela por cima. Coloque as maçãs no forno e aumente a temperatura para 180 graus (deixe uma fresta na porta), espere 20 minutos, e vire as fatias. Após mais 20 minutos, tire-as do forno, e espere 5 minutos. Desta forma, elas estarão prontas para serem devoradas! Yummy! 🍎 Apple chips, rather than the snack only the perfume is in the house, a delight! There goes: preheat the oven to 110 degrees (if your oven does not have this option, put in the lowest temperature possible and leave the door a crack). Bata o ovo com fouet (ou garfo), e adicione os demais ingredientes, começando pelos líquidos e acrescentando o fermento por último. Despeje a massa em uma frigideira untada já aquecida e mantenha em fogo baixo com tampa. Deixe assar até firmar, vire, e está pronto! Planned to post this yesterday for Valentines Day but this week has been super busy so better late than never right? 🤷🏽‍♀️ I was looking for ideas on Pinterest on how to use my leftover almond pulp without having to make it into almond meal or almond flour bc.... thats just a lot of work & I’m lazy🙂 BUT its okay bc my laziness lead me to this brownie cake🤩 I saw a lot of recipes for cakes and brownies so I thought why not combine them!! Easily my best idea to date Almond Pulp Brownie Cake: 1 cup almond pulp 3 eggs 1/2 cup cocoa powder 1 tsp vanilla 3/4 cup raw honey or maple syrup 3/4 cup chocolate chips (I used @enjoylifefoods ) 1/2 cup coconut oil A pinch of sea salt 1. Preheat oven to 350 2. Melt chocolate chips + coconut oil in a big bowl 3. Once melted, add in other ingredients & stir until everything is well combined 4. Pour into parchment paper lined cake pan (or any pan) 5. Bake for 25-30 mins, or until the center passes the toothpick test 6. Enjoy the most chocolatey and rich brownie/cake ever, which happens to go absolutely perfect with a scoop of vanilla ice cream 😉 Happy (late) Vday guys 💗

Sometimes you gotta offset a meat heavy week for your pup with a big bowl of delicious fruits and vegetables 🍓 💕 This morning I checked out the fridge and our leftovers just happened to be doggy friendly (no real coincidence there!) and some of Opie’s favourites 👅 So we swapped out his usual lunch of turkey and lamb from the amazing @hounds_on_raw and instead filled his bowl with green house grown Ontario strawberries, organic steamed broccoli 🥦 and some beautiful Ontario butternut squash 🙏🏼 💕 💕 Easy, affordable and let’s just say the bowl is sparkling clean (even if his face is covered in squash) 💫

Lunch today is a great big lemony arugula and white bean salad with tomatoes, red onion, shredded Parmesan and hard boiled eggs, dressed with fresh lemon juice, extra virgin olive oil and seasoned with salt and pepper. His philosophy is that if you’re healthy and active, it’s totally fine to add whole food carbs. It likely will help your performance. - I agree with him because I don’t think anyone needs to tip the scale one way to much. As long as your diet is a whole foods approach, you can try different things. - Overall, even if your active, it’s good to keep the carbs low. Find what your upper limit of carbs is for you based on your lifestyle. Something a little (but not really) different – my first time making buckwheat porridge! Here’s what I learnt: buckwheat takes a lot longer and a lot more water than oats to cook. I probably cooked these for about 15 minutes in the end and added more water a few times. Unlike oats, buckwheat also doesn’t fluff up or absorb much liquid – I mashed mine a little with a fork once it was cooked to get this texture. Probably a little more effort to make than normal porridge, but this was delicious, and a great gluten-free option if you can’t do oats. James Bond likes his martinis shaken, so I guess we like them dirty because we just discovered some underrated nutritional benefits of olives. Olives are high in antioxidants, specifically polyphenols, which have demonstrated anti-cancer, anti-aging, anti-diabetic, and neuro-protective effects 🔥. And the phenolic compounds in olives help increase the presence of the good bacteria in your gut helping to keep your microbiome healthy. And while more research is needed these same phenolic compounds have also been shown to inhibit the growth of tumors. Impressive stuff.
