Do you take time for the people who matter most? Quality time is my love language, so when given the opportunity to spend time with someone I care about, I jump at the chance. Sometimes, it even takes me out of my comfort zone.
This week I am traveling in China, where my youngest son is now living. Even though it never was on my bucket list, I know it will be an experience of a lifetime. After all, as our children get older, the natural opportunities to spend time together seem to diminish.
Plus, who wouldn’t jump at the chance of an adult child choosing time with Mom and Dad?
Of course, taking time for the people who matter most doesn’t have to be an extravagant vacation or some BIG splashy event - a walk, short visit or a phone call will suffice. How do you like to spend time with those you love?
In an attempt to fully take in the time together, I will be taking a short break from featuring posts and commenting.
The link-up will still be on the website so don’t go anywhere!

“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name. You are Mine.” ~ Isaiah 43:1 ✨
This is a progress video of Mr Darcy, and just an insight with what we’ve being working on together!
Mr Darcy recently became head-shy, but not due to his fault; he had a vet experience, involving a needle near his head which soon resulted in him not wanting his head touched. Fair enough, but it soon became a disrespect action where he would rear, butt us away with his head, turn his rump & just be plain rude. It became a hazard, especially when you wanted to catch him or put a bridle on, so this is what we’ve being doing together!
I’ll go in CONFIDENT, with the attitude “this isn’t going to hurt you, you’ll be ok.” Yes, he didn’t like it at first, but he soon picked up on that attitude & learnt that “oh, this isn’t ACTUALLY that bad.” Consistency is key, and patience is a value that has being required to get this far with him. He’s accepting & respecting that being touched around his ears & head is a normal thing, and I’m really impressed with his progress! To show you all purely of what he is like, with him being very touchy and reactive around his head, ears & neck; to now, along his journey, where you can visually see him relaxing, thinking & learning. As a team, we’ve being able to turn a bad experience, into what is now an experience that he couldn’t care less about!
I admire & respect each and every horse that I’m blessed enough to work with; they all have valuable lessons to teach us if we listen, and I’m just SO thankful for the new methods & skills that I get to learn with each of them! So VERY blessed! ————————————————————————
What’s holding you back? Bring it out, claim it and move IT on. It’s time. It’s past time. ⠀⠀⠀⠀
Get serious. Quit wasting your time on things that aren’t for you. Get on YOUR path.
TAKE a stand! Because “If you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything.” And you are worthy.
Unsure what to do…you haven’t found your purpose? It’s pretty simple…other than it takes time and attention. Are you willing to give up your TV, YouTube, and the constant noise going into your ears and eyes?
Here are 3 easy steps. It doesn’t cost anything. No pills, no online subscription, no special gear.
Just takes discipline and time.
1) Read the Bible. Every. Day. It is a life plan. THE life plan. All the motivational speaker’s glean from it. Little by little, like a mustard seed your faith will increase. Trust. †
2) Pray. Even easier. You just talk and share what’s on your heart and ask for direction. No fancy words needed.🙏🏼
3) Be still. Take time to hear. Many people have a hard time doing this. Instead of motion, action and over-scheduled, carve out your own time to just Be. A Hear-ing.👂

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.”
1 Peter 1:3-7
Things to hone in on and ponder: “Lord Jesus Christ” - consider this title. We say it often without considering its weight: Lord, Jesus, Christ. Each word holds deep significance. “Imperishable, undefiled, unfading, kept in heaven for you... being guarded...” - a repetition of assurance, assurance, assurance, through Christ alone, whose guarantee cannot change. “By God’s power guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.” - faith is the means, secured by the power of God, by which we will receive a salvation not yet revealed. Consider, what is salvation? Our justification is finished, but our salvation to restored image-bearers and sinless beings is not yet finished - we await the final step of glorification. And if we are in Christ, it is guaranteed. “For a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials” - our trials are only a little while in light of eternity, and only *if necessary* - nothing is left to chance, nothing we endure is without purpose! “... the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” - our faith, a gift from God, is eternally precious. Through trials, this gift is honed and perfected and shown to be eternal, to us and to onlookers, and will result in the ultimate end: glorying in Christ when He returns.
“For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”
