september is #suicidepreventionmonth and #mentalhealthawarenessmonth in general...so i decided to do this make up look to kinda show the 2 sides of this (i know it's not perfect..the bad side was supposed to look pale & sick but on the pictures it looks a bit strange..but it took me some hours and i tried okay? xD) 💬
we all know that we (mostly) only get to see the good & colourful side of others..the perfect and flawless side. we know that most people don't show the bad side & talk about their problems/are scared to do that. but why? because mental health issues are still a thing the society doesn't want to hear and talk about. and that's wrong.
"ohh you have a cold and fever? go to the doctor and get some rest!" - a normal thing
"what? you are depressed and have anxiety? shut up and go on" - also a normal thing in our society. but it makes it all even worse.
we have to take mental illness serious. it's a sickness and not laziness or whatever.
if you don't have a mindset that stops you even from doing the things that you like or make you hurting people you love with the things you do or say - you can be grateful.
please don't tell depressed people their problems aren't real or they just seek attention. take it serious & try to help. 🙏🏻
getting up, talking about it, searching for help and getting it all together is not easy. i experience that myself right now but in the end it's the only way to deal with it. and i'm thankful for everyone who helps me.
mental health is just as important as physical health. please always remember this 🖤
and to everyone affected: you're not alone and you're not a worse person because of it ♡ •
