there’s a slang word in japan that’s existed for hundreds of years: when a girl is jealous they say she is yakimochi. it’s a play on words because the kanji for yaki can also be written as yaku which means jealousy. it’s not a dig though because yakimochi are incredibly delicious and very pretty. they might also kill or burn you though, so definitely make them the star of your next bbq but treat them nicely and you’ll love them forever

It’s a bit on the expensive side but worth the splurge. Whichever you choose either omakase or a la carte you’re assured that it will be delicious, of good quality and meticulously prepared. Baked peanut butter rice tray with tofu, sweet potato and chickpeas......
A delicious take on all the favourites.

Recipe adapted from #littlegreenkitchen :
Spread out in a baking tray:
1 cubed sweet potato, 200g cubed tofu, 1sliced red onion, 200g wholegrain rice (preferably soaked overnight) 200g of soaked and cooked chickpeas ( or most of one tin ), 100g green beans.
Mix in a bowl:
20g grated ginger, 2-4 chopped garlic cloves, 3-4 tbsp peanut butter 3tbsp tomato puree, 400ml stock (veggie or bone), 2-3 tbsp tamari (or some salt), 200ml coconut milk, 2tbsp lime juice.
Pour the sauce evenly over the tray and bake at 180 for 45 mins
