Balance is key!!! I worked out before we left this morning, drank lots of water, & made good food choices (until dinner but I still had 🐟). One of our fav things is ordering pie to-go after a meal & let me tell ya...... Florida key lime pie is 😍. The chocolate cake was 🤯too!! You do you & make sure to create balance in your life. Don’t take it too seriously yet value life & those you love. 🥰 I’ll be posting on @jamesmedicaluniforms this week as we are here for a super fun convention, so please follow that page too!! It’s 💯% worth it or if you are a healthcare professional or friends with one!!! .
tomorrow is the last day of the most hectic schedule i've ever had, which i'd been maintaining for the last 5 months.
finally, i'll be settled into a regular schedule as of Monday and I'll have set days off to focus on myself✨
looking forward to routine!
what about you?
do you thrive with a routine or by going with the flow?
WELLNESS..what is it really? It’s hard to define exactly because there is so much to it. Through my struggles I have been thinking a lot about this word, and I know what it definitely is not.👎🏻
•rigidly counting calories every day
•revolving your entire day around your
•being so busy or distracted that you don’t have time to enjoy simple pleasures
• putting yourself last
•comparing yourself to others
•believing you can do it all (you can do a lot, but no one can do it all)
I did many of those things on the list and because of that I began to really struggle with anxiety.
SO let’s celebrate what we do each day that DOES support our wellness with this little challenge..🙌
Beginning tomorrow (Sunday) and until next Sunday, post one picture each day with a short description of something that supports your wellness and inner peace. For example, this morning I sat outside before anyone else was awake and drank my coffee (without scrolling on my phone and just enjoying the outdoors). Or maybe you cooked an awesome meal that gave you energy to get through your day. Anything goes, as long as you feel it truly supports your well being. I will post each day to remind us all!
IF you use the hashtag #mascaraandmotherhoodchallenge
each time that you post (and you post once each day) you will be entered to win one nutrition product of your choosing from my Arbonne website (link in bio).
Yep..you pick it out..and I’ll send it to you! So click on the nutrition tab on the website and start looking❤️ I hope this will be a fun way to connect us all and remind us there are MANY ways to take care of ourselves!
This girl lights up the room with her presence. She laughs at my jokes, tries every wacky variation I throw at her. Always a delight to have you in class, Vicky! 😊

This gown I finished the night before the photoshoot from a random inspiration! I had 5 inch heels on uneven terrain. With no sleep I packed my outfits and changed in the truck and slapped some makeup on and made it happen in the wild. Mind you! I work two jobs and I’m a single parent head of household! If I can do what my heart desires so can you! Your passion is your super power! #chinivi® #focus#balance#Energy#grow#findyourfreedom#tattoo#love#woman#mom#latina#1
~When it comes to supplementation, the huge misconception is that they do more than they actually do! The reason why these products are called supplements is because they “supplement” your training and nutrition, they don’t fix it nor do they magically make you gain muscle or lose body fat!
~If I was to make a rough estimate, nutrition is around 70-80% of your regiment, with training taking up the other majority of the percentage, supplements really only have no more than a 5% kind of role in your whole regiment. •
~However, speaking supplements here are my top “must haves” as basics to either help you with muscle growth, strength gain or fat loss! 1. A multi vitamin for general health💊2. Fish oil for cardiovascular health, healthy eye function and joint health🧠 3. Creatine, to help your bodies energy output at high/short intensity bouts💪🏽 4. A protein powder (preferably Whey Protein Isolate), for if you struggle to hit your daily protein goals via proper food (Or is you love the taste of them🤤)🏋🏽♂️ •
~Like this post? For more like these simply like the post! Or if you have any suggestions on what I should post next, DM ME! Any questions? DM me also💪🏽 Happy Sunday my ASFIT Family, I hope we are all doing something today, to get us closer to our goals tomorrow!❤️🏋🏽♂️ •
My “job” involves a major focus on nutrition, and I love posting pics of smoothie bowls, protein balls, and salads 🥗 .
You better believe, I ALSO know how to indulge 👌🏼
And I’m sure I’m not alone in that, as summer progressed and life piled on stresses and ch-ch-ch-changes 🎶, my health habits unravelled somewhat. When WAS the last time you saw a smoothie bowl photo from me anyway 🤷🏻♀️
It’s true, my love of dry rosé and rich desserts has been a go-to in trying times, and also in times of celebration 🍷 .
Which isn’t a problem, until it’s a problem. Which I wouldn’t go so far to say, but I do notice a tighter fit on those jeans 😳 and am finding myself lamenting on “when I felt my best” around this time last year. .
At the retreat I attended this month in Texas, we were taught the “Stages of Change”, which was quite affirming and refreshing. We learned how the “relapse” serves a purpose in an upward spiral towards improving your goal, whatever that may be. So the rosé and tart means joy in-the-moment, and joy overall as it makes me miss my smoothie regimen. .
In any “helping profession”, you’ll see the best coaches, trainers, therapists, councillors and teachers ALSO seek mentorship and refinement. So this is the Win/Win of my hosting “Transform 5” this Fall.
For 1) It’s always been important to me to do work that serves others. I feel improving the health of people in my community is my natural gift. I’m also gifted at loving others and using the belief I have in them, to show them what they are capable of. .
And 2) I feel life is worth living. And my definition of LIVING is being free from pain, having energy to DO things like take my kids to the coolest playground and play tag at 40 (and hopefully many many more years to come)! I also really appreciate tackling colds/flus insanely fast. .
There are many facets to lasting health. Most of us aren’t blessed with the greatest genes (thanks MTHFR 😒), and so I teach people to set themselves up for success through utilizing a 6-source model. .

But...I’m so busy, I just don’t have time to cook healthy meals... I just don’t have time to exercise...I just don’t have time to make lunches for work. .
I hear this all the time and I get it. Life can feel so busy at times that the thought of fitting anything else in is just too much.
But the truth is....
We ALL have time, it’s just about priorities.
Somehow we find the time to watch Netflix, scroll social media and go to Friday night drinks. We find time to make the kids lunches and do things for the people we love.
I challenge you to try this... Instead of saying “I don’t have time” reframe it with “this is not a priority for me”
Then you can assess how that feels to you.
Instead of saying “I don’t have time to make a healthy lunch” say “making a healthy lunch is not a priority for me” or instead of “I don’t have time to go for a walk” say “going for a walk is not a priority for me”. Is this true? If it is, cool. If not, it's something to think about.
Remember that small actions count. .
You don't have to go to the gym for an hour - you could instead commit to 20 mins or even a 15 minute walk. You don't have to spend hours on the weekend prepping lunches for the week. Instead you could make sure you grab some quick healthy ingredients in the shopping, like Ryvita Crackers, cottage cheese, tins of tuna and avocado. Just a little thought ahead goes a long way.
Is it time to make your health a priority?
