I’ve always done my greatest self reflection while traveling 💫. Is that because of the seemingly endless amount of time spent waiting at airports, on planes, trains, and cars? Or is there something more? Something freeing? Something that shifts our perspective?
One of my favorite things to do while roaming the world 🌍 is to find a spot with the most beautiful view I can find, grab a cup of coffee, and sit there for hours. I’ll either read or write during that time... but mostly I just l absorb life.
I pay close attention to things I take for granted in my daily life. Like my breath... I focus on how it feels to be able to breath. How lucky I am that my healthy lungs can fill up with so much air.
I focus on the temperature and the way the warmth of the sunlight 🌞 hits my skin. Or the way the cool air causes goosebumps to form on my arms.
I focus on the taste of my coffee rather than how quickly I can drink and get on with the rest of the day.
I focus on other people around me. I wonder what their lives are like. What are their struggles? What are they facing? Who do they love? What’s motivating them today? What are their dreams?
I think about the people I love 💛. I think about what I can do to show them more love.
I took this photo one afternoon in Stockholm after walking for hours around the city. I sat and gazed out this window for hours. I read & wrote. I’m not sure if this flower 🌺 is particularly beautiful or if the view is anything special. But, something about gazing out of this window seal spoke to me. It reminded me to slow down. To let go. To treat others how I would like to be treated. To take care of myself and the ones I care about. To do all things with love. To see beauty in daily life. To stop and look around.
There’s just something about the buildings in Paris 💫🥐🍷
📍Hotel Elysea-Luxembourg, Paris🇫🇷
This was a picture perfect Monday morning, sat on the balcony in my Parisian hotel eating pastries - literally! I love Paris, there is always so much to see and do. I’ve been twice now on tourist trips but I would love to go for a weekend of shopping 🛍
