Another Sunday, another Run Day, another medal in the bag for the 5am Sisters! 🏃🏽♀️🥇
Yesterday we took on the @decastellarun in Melbourne to support the work that goes into the @indigenousmarathonfoundation. We are especially lucky to have one of our sisters @cintarose88 participate as a graduate of the Indigenous Marathon Project who we are always inspired by. .
Each of us took on challenges by running in the 5km, 10km and 15km events. We all felt the struggle of the multiple hills along the track! But with the support of one another and the strength we had within ourselves, we pushed on and smashed the course. .
And whilst we love our 5am sister crew, we are also incredibly lucky to be supported by our own work friends who ran alongside us yesterday too! We are grateful to be so supported by @bubupwilamforearlylearning & @sparkhealthaus .

I've really had a lot of trouble with my own training mojo lately! I ❤ to train and train hard at that but lately I just haven't been able to find that passion. .
I have been working non stop A LOT and not giving anytime to me, not allowing myself to feel the ❤. So when I was told that I had a late start at a school I'm working at today, I took the opportunity to find that ❤ and boy I'm so happy that it's still there 😍
My session was tough but it was just so good to feel the sweat 💦 drip down my face, my muscles burning 🔥 and my lungs feeling like they want to explode 💣 I know right, who the hell likes any of those feelings??? Well, I DO 🙋♀️ I ❤ IT actually!
Sometimes we it's hard to find the passion, the love, the fire inside but all we need is a SPARK💥 A tiny spark to fuel that 🔥
We have our ups and we have our downs but all we need is to give ourselves some ❤ sometimes and find the spark that creates the fire, the passion, the love. We all have it, we just need to give ourselves a chance to find it!
I'm excited that my fire is lit and now I am going to keep it alight by giving myself the time to fuel my fire 🏋️♀️🤸♀️🏃♀️💦🥵
On a another note, why are the smallest pieces of equipment so lethal!?! Sliders = 🔥🔥🔥💦💦💦

If only Sundays could last forever.. Another Monday already?! And how is it nearly September?! Why not tick off something this week that you have been meaning to do for AGES!

Missing your mojo?⠀
August traditionally seems to be the hardest slog when it comes to exercise. ⠀
Either you’ve pushed through June and July and now can’t face any more chilly days (or you and/or the kids have fallen victim to winter sicknesses 🤧)⠀
You shut up shop as soon as Winter hit and are now dreading that first come-back session. ⠀
My 3 tips for re-finding your mojo: ⠀
* Remember that muscle memory *is* a thing. If you’re worried that you’ll be back at square one with your fitness, don’t worry you’re not. Even though that dreaded first session back *may* hurt a lil’ bit, your bod will remember what to do (and will love it!) ⠀
* Don’t over commit. For the first two-three weeks into your come back, aim for a small amount of exercise each day (like even just ten minutes) or only 1-2 days of exercise in the week. ⠀
* And my personal favorite: make the point of exercise *nothing* to do with exercise. Walk to the shops, ride your bike to pick up the kids, jog to a friends house. Find other reasons to exercise rather than just the pressure of *having* to exercise. ⠀

A great weekend away with @kymosmand taking part in a fantastic event @shepparton_running_festival. My run didn’t go to plan but I’m happy to get another long run in with @berlinmarathon 5 weeks away, and so good to see so many familiar faces. 🤗🏃🏼♀️🏃🏽♂️
