Rain Dance. The Kentucky Warbler (Geothlypis formosa) is a stunning bird of deep forests, and this fellow is the first Ive ever been able to photograph with any success! And still he tried his best to make things difficult. He was photographed in a shaded forest with steady rain, making trying my equipment. How much? This photo was shot at 600mm at f/4, at 1/40th of a second, with ISO of 5000! Still, it was worth it! Interestingly, these amazing feathered creatures will often follow army ants in the winter tropics, waiting to snap up the insects that flee their paths!
